The Literary Debutante Ball is a benefit that celebrates One Story, honors our Literary Debutantes, and raises a glass to our 2019 Distinguished Alumni, Kelly Link. The ball will feature specialty cocktails and appetizers, live music, and dancing.

The highlight of the ball will be the formal “presentation” of our Literary Debutantes: One Story authors who have published their debut books in the past year.

2019 Debutantes:

• Lydia Fitzpatrick, Lights All Night Long (Penguin Press), author of “Safety”
• Joseph Moldover, Every Moment After (HMH Books for Young Readers), author of “Every Other Emily”
• Erin Somers, Stay Up with Hugo Best (Scribner), author of “Astronauts in Love”
• Bryan Washington, Lot (Riverhead), author of “Bayou”
• Jake Wolff, The History of Living Forever (FSG), author of “The History of Living Forever”

Each writer will be escorted by an established author and/or editor who has been a mentor to them.

All proceeds from the Ball will benefit One Story Inc., an award-winning, 501(c)(3) not-for-profit committed to supporting the art form of the short story and the authors who write them—through publication, education, community, and mentorship.
